Avoid Bygghemma!
Unfortunately, BH is lousy, and it probably stems from the corporate culture.
We have an oligopoly market for building materials that keeps prices high, which more or less forces customers to choose companies that seem to have poor service as a business idea.
I avoid Byggmax as much as possible, which I see as "hell on earth."
I needed a wide facade brush last week of decent quality as I'm going to repaint a friggebod.
At Bauhaus, Beijers, and other places, the brush costs around 300 SEK. I'm going to use it once, for a day, but I want reasonable quality as it's about 8 hours of work.
Instead, I choose Byggmax out of "stinginess" and pay 95 SEK. I'm not joking when I say I had considerable anxiety on my way into the store.
A relieving factor is that they have started with self-scanning so that you can avoid interaction with their staff.
Where do they find these people? Individuals from Samhall seem like brain surgeons in comparison.

I have written it before.. buy things at places where you can look someone in the eye when something goes wrong. And additionally, you support the local businesses so they are there in the future if you want to buy something you just have to have the same day. Yes, I know.. the selection isn't the same and the price is probably better. Yes.. I have also bought online sometimes.

Yes and no, it is Bygghemma that chose the freight forwarder and despite recurring complaints about messy deliveries, delivery damages, etc. over the past 5 years, Bygghemma continues to use DSV so ...... And since it's with Bygghemma (not DSV) you have a contract, it's completely legitimate to "blame" 😄 Bygghemma.S Sernando said:
Personally, I think it's more foolish to not be able to understand an entire post and get caught up in details. My purchase from Badshop, which is another front for Bygghemma, was initially severely delayed and Badshop flatly refused to help me try to redirect the delivery to a neighbor; it was I who had to hassle the freight forwarder to make an exception and deliver the items to the neighbor. I probably succeeded because, in the countryside, everyone knows each other...
Of two items divided into three packages, two packages were severely mangled by DSV, but luckily the manufacturers had packaged them very well, so there was no harm done.
Regarding Bygghemma, as mentioned, they are fairly notorious for delivery issues and being very difficult to contact and deal with, just like many other companies within the BHG Group. They have simply made it a business idea to sell cheaply and when/if things go wrong, try to wear the customer out until they give up.
Apart from my own experiences, I've heard everything from bad to downright catastrophic reviews about an estimated 7-8 of BHG's different companies from my surroundings. And the problems are more or less the same. Additionally, Bygghemma appears several times on Råd & Rön's blacklist.

Crap company. Ordered a floor that was "in stock," took a month to receive. Ordered a bathtub that was also supposed to be in stock, took 3 months and lots of nagging with customer service to get. Always various attempts to squeeze more money and pass the buck when speaking with customer service. But it was cheap...
Why not buy the door directly from, for example, Bauhaus?Sertac Karabas said:
My experience with Bygghemma has been extremely frustrating and far from acceptable. I ordered an exterior door, side lights, and a Yale lock for my villa, which is currently undergoing a complete renovation. The order was placed on April 21, 2024, and although the Yale lock was delivered without issue, there were serious problems with the rest of the delivery.
First and foremost, I found out that the exterior door was damaged during transport. This came after countless calls and transfers to different departments when I tried to find out where my door was, as the builders on site needed it. The transport company DSV informed me that the door had been damaged (PS I don't understand how you can break a damn exterior door) and I was referred back to Bygghemma for more information.
Despite several attempts to contact Bygghemma via both phone and email, I received unclear responses with email feedback between with at least 4-5 days delay. It's completely unreasonable. On May 19, almost a month later, I was informed that the side lights I purchased were out of stock with an unclear delivery date. I was offered a refund or to accept the damaged product with a small compensation, but it is still unclear what this "small damage" is and I get no feedback.
The builders are on-site and can't complete the front...
In summary, this experience with Bygghemma has been the worst I have ever had with any retailer. The customer service is unacceptable with unreasonably long response times. I absolutely do not recommend Bygghemma. If you are considering buying building materials, I advise you to turn to Bauhaus instead, where the customer service is reliable and you at least get the support you need.
Then you should have gone back to Hornbach and gotten it for 10% cheaper than Beijer with their price guarantee.😉😅mnils said:
Over the past 3 years, I have made purchases in 6-figure amounts at Bygghemma and it has worked very well except for one case where they f*cked up significantly. A good person at customer service resolved it though. If I'm not mistaken, Bygghemma is owned by Beijer, which I avoid since the prices are often pure extortion. Otherwise, Hornbach is my absolute first choice.

You are very wrong! They have nothing to do with each other.J JoE1090 said:Over the past 3 years, I have shopped for 6-figure amounts at Bygghemma and it has worked very well except in one case where they messed up badly. Bygghemma is owned by the idiots at the listed BHG Group https://www.wearebhg.com/

I have only had good experiences with them. Bought some things for the attefallshus we built 4 years ago. Continued to buy shower faucets etc. for the bathroom and this year new concrete tiles for our house with dif cloth etc. Everything delivered in good time without damage. But I haven't needed to be in contact with their customer service for damaged parts. Instead, received help with other things filling in when ordering through their website.
Just satisfied with both deliveries and customer service from bygghemma.
Got 3 working radiators for the price of 1 due to minor defects on the first two.
Good response from customer service when my Husqvarna automower broke down.

Yes, I have started to get the same type of experience from Bygghemma. I am starting to suspect that it is some Eastern European company that is actually behind the website. I will not be ordering anything more from these guys.Sertac Karabas said:
