My experience with Bygghemma has been extremely frustrating and far from acceptable. I ordered a front door, sidelights, and a Yale lock for my villa, which is currently being completely renovated. The order was placed on April 21, 2024, and although the Yale lock was delivered without issue, serious problems arose with the rest of the delivery.
First of all, I found out that the front door had been damaged during transport. This occurred after numerous calls and transfers to different departments when I tried to find out where my door was, as the on-site carpenters needed it. The transport company DSV informed me that the door had broken (Honestly can't understand how a damn front door can get broken) and I was referred back to Bygghemma for more information.
Despite several attempts to contact Bygghemma via both phone and email, I received unclear responses with email feedback coming with at least 4-5 days delay. It's completely unreasonable. On May 19, almost a month later, I was informed that the sidelights I had purchased were out of stock with an unclear delivery date. I was offered a refund or to accept the damaged product with a small compensation, but I still don't know what this "little damage" is and I get no feedback.
The builders are on-site and cannot finish the front...
In summary, this experience with Bygghemma has been the worst I've ever had with any retailer. The customer service is unacceptable, with unreasonably long response times. I absolutely do not recommend Bygghemma. If you're considering buying building materials, I advise you to turn to Bauhaus instead, where the customer service is reliable and you at least get the support you need.

Sharing a similar experience, especially regarding the carrier DSV they hire. One of their drivers positioned himself on our sloping residential street and rolled out a pallet with 250kg of flooring on the loading dock. However, since the street sloped towards the loading dock and not into the truck, he would have dropped the entire pallet on the asphalt if I hadn't been there to help hold it back.
I believe you gain in the long run by paying a bit more and choosing another building materials store.

I can only agree. However, I thought their customer service responded quickly. But never correctly. I had no problem canceling when I received about 10 different delivery notices (in 4 days, unfortunately in 2 weeks, tomorrow, this afternoon the car is on its way to you, next week and so on...).
But getting the money back "why do you want a refund for the item we didn't deliver?", "oh, you think so, of course we will immediately refund." Almost word for word repeated 3 times. The last time I threatened with a police report, then after another week, a letter from their finance department that I had qualified for a refund (expressed roughly like that, as if I had won the jackpot). Still no money. A week later I filled out the police report, but checked the bank before sending it. Then, an hour before, the money had arrived.
This is something they systematize, they have a business idea to deceive a portion of their customers, hoping that you will get tired of nagging.

Yes, DSV is unfortunately dumb. I don't understand how they can operate given how poorly they deliver goods.K Kennster said:Sharing a bit of the same experience, especially regarding the transporter DSV they hire. I can add that the alternative Bauhaus.se is really crappy too. Ordered a product (mailbox), rusted/used. Got a new one - also used and with duct tape holding it together. Never again.Den ofrivillige klåparen said:
The only alternative seems to be to buy in-store and check the condition first.
Doors and Bygghemma/DSV seem popular. Below is one of all my emails to Bygghemma after I ordered interior doors:

I still haven't received any feedback on this! I am now so tired of this matter and of having doors lying in the living room. I will soon throw them out on the sidewalk for you to pick up whenever you want and buy doors elsewhere.

Just want to agree with the previous speaker about Bygghemma 😥 Customer service does not exist in the company! Bought a 300-liter water heater for the house! The weld in the heating element's pipe broke! It was only 6 months old when it broke down. Had to wait 1 month before they fixed/replaced the heater 😡 It was winter and cold around New Year's.
The whole family was gathered for a few weeks then! Hopeless customer service that only prioritized broken hand tools that month 😩 Selling as much as possible without customer responsibility is their thing! Have some other unpleasant experiences with the same company! But the strength has faded! Lars Evers Ps! Avoid the company! Then you will have a happier leisure time.
