What wallpaper Should I use?
Hello!
Let us hear your good advice on this!
My partner and I have a small bathroom (3.2 m2) that needs to be renovated. It is currently 1958 standard, so tiled 105cm up on the wall and then painted. Our idea was to completely tile behind the bathtub and have the rest of the walls tiled at the same height as the current one. Ideally have this wallpaper over it ( https://wallsrepublic.com/collections/new-arrivals-home-wallpaper ) which is a vinyl wallpaper but it might not be ok with Swedish standards?
Anyway, had a visit from a handyman today who advised us against this idea as he said that it will only look good if you have tiles at the same height throughout the bathroom. Is it true?

What looks good or not is subjective and up to you even if it is uncommon to have it this way in Sweden.
You say that you wanted tiles "behind" the tub. Does this mean that only one wall will be tiled to the ceiling and all three other walls will have tiles to 105 cm?
This would be a bit like people do in other rooms with one wall in a different colour/wall paper so I'm not sure it wouldn't work esthetically.
If it is OK from a technical viewpoint I think you should do what think looks good - you are the ones who will live there - unless you plan to sell the house in the near future.
You could make a drawing with some options and see if that gives you a better idea of how it will look.

How about black wallpaper for home, do you think this will look good after using it in living area.
It is not too common, but still a lot of people doing it. We were ourselves about to, but backed out due to other reasons not applicable to discuss here.T Testarn skrev:What looks good or not is subjective and up to you even if it is uncommon to have it this way in Sweden.

Do a google image search for either "half tiled bathroom" or the swedish equivalent "halvkaklat badrum" and you'll find a few examples of what you want to do. Then it is up to you do decide if it will work or not. In my opinion it is really up to the specific room if it will look good or not. There is no universal rule to it.
