How to achieve lumpy texture

Hi,
I have filled some cracks and holes with putty, but I also want to achieve the original texture of the wall, how can I do it? Is it the paint? the type of roller? something else?
Anyone know?
I uploaded a picture (spakel was not sanded when I took the photo)

Väggen är troligen rollad med en grov roller. Man kan få en mer lik yta genom att dutta (trycka till upprepade gånger) med en svamp. Öva först på en annan yta.
