This spring, we'll be getting a Hornbach in Malmö/Burlöv. As we are in the midst of purchasing a lot for the house that is about to start construction any day now, one naturally becomes curious about a new chain that is set to establish itself.
Low prices?

Hornbach is big in Europe and is similar in style and pricing to Bauhaus. More info can be found here: http://www.hornbach.com/home/se/html/
Hello,
I have quite a bit of experience with Hornbach in Gothenburg after several construction projects.
The pricing varies. They are generally cheaper than Bauhaus, but often Clas Ohlson, Jula, or Coop Forum are cheaper.
Their price guarantee doesn't mean they are the cheapest (warning!). Additionally, it is difficult to compare (their idea) because they often have their own brands (see below).
The assortment is impressive on the surface. However, in many areas, it is clearly influenced by Germany/Southern Europe (e.g., bathroom/tiles/clinker), with their style, quality, etc. So initially, you are completely overwhelmed, then only a few products remain that are really conceivable to buy.
If you're building a house (kitchen/bathroom) and want quality and style that lasts, Hornbach doesn't offer much more than other building supply stores, and not directly at a lower price (unless you buy their own brands). And since the brands are unusual, you probably can't know if spare parts, accessories are available compared to other more traditional brands (e.g., locks, windows, tools, propane).
