We have a roof terrace of around 46sqm. We want the floor to stay cool in the summer so have decided to paint this to make it look nicer and prevent it from getting dusty.
What are your tips for the process & materials we need to do this. Should we prepare the concrete in any way? The concrete is 1.5 years old

You can grind the concrete to make the stone visible and then treat it with concrete sealing. It should also be possible to get some anti-slip protection in the sealing treatment.
